12 Cookies of Christmas: Day 1

Welcome to the 12 Cookies of Christmas!  Every day for the 12 days leading up to Christmas, a different cookie recipe will be featured.  I hope you enjoy and feel free to share some of your favorite cookie recipes!

Chocolate Crinkle Cookies

Ingredients:

2 cups sugar

3/4 cup oil

1 cup unsweetened cocoa

4 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 1/3 cup flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

Powdered sugar

Directions:

Cream sugar, oil and cocoa

Beat in eggs and vanilla

In a separate bowl, combine: flour, baking powder and salt

Slowly add flour mixture to chocolate batter

Cover and refrigerate for up to an hour or put in freezer for 15-20 minutes to firm up dough

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Form dough into 1 inch balls and roll in powdered sugar

Place on greased cookie sheet or cookie sheet covered with parchment paper

Bake for 10-12 minutes
